ADDITIONAL APPLICATIONS
Automatic deceleration control (ARC) automatically controls deceleration on a slope, maintaining ± 2,230 rpm.
The traction control system (TCS) improves performance in poor conditions under your feet by electronically controlling and controlling wheel slip.
An integrated brake controller (IBC) combines ARC and TCS, reducing electronic components and electrical lines.
BRAKES
1) Parking / secondary piston, 2) Working / brake piston, 3) Friction discs, 4) Steel plates, 5) Drive springs, 6) Coolant oil inlet, 7) Coolant oil outlet
BRAKES WITH MULTIPLE DISKS - EXCLUSIVE, SUSTAINABLE BRAKING AND DELAYS
Cat multi-disc brakes use constant forced oil cooling. The optional ARC and TCS use oil cooled rear brakes to improve loader performance and productivity.
REAR COOLED DISC BRAKES
Designed and manufactured for reliable, non-adjustable operation, providing superior performance and durability compared to shoe type and dry disk systems. The system combines the functions of maintenance, braking and parking brake in one device. If the pressure in the hydraulic system drops below a certain level, the secondary piston applied by the spring automatically activates the brake.
OIL FILM PREVENTS DIRECT CONTACT BETWEEN DISCS
By absorbing braking forces, cutting off oil and removing heat, this design extends the service life of the brake.
SECONDARY BRAKE
Spring-loaded, hydraulically released, oil-cooled disc brakes are located on the rear axle. Front brakes are activated as part of the secondary system, even if they are off.
PARKING BRAKES
Spring-loaded, hydraulically released parking brakes use wet disc brakes in the service system. The toggle switch activates the parking brake.
Pistons
Caterpillar`s patented two-piston design combines service, auxiliary and parking brakes, as well as braking functions.
AUTOMATIC CONTROL OF THE RETARDER (OPTION)
ARC electronically monitors braking on a slope, maintaining approximately 2230 rpm (engine rpm adjustable from 2150 to 2300 rpm in 10 rpm increments). ARC turns off when the operator presses the brake pedal or throttle.
Motor overspeed protection
When the accelerator pedal is pressed and / or the ARC function is turned off, the ARC function is automatically activated at 2475 rpm to avoid potentially destructive and often expensive engine speeding.
TRAIN MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (OPTION)
Determines whether the rear wheel slip exceeds the set limit and automatically applies the rear brakes to slow the wheel.
FEATURE OPERATOR
An indicator on the dashboard shows the operator that TCS is activated.
DIFFERENTIAL ACTION
Uses normal differential action to ensure excellent maneuvering in poor conditions under your feet. It also reduces tire wear compared to positive locking differentials used in other systems.
MOMENT
TCS divides the torque evenly to reduce the voltage generated on the main gears and axles when torque is transmitted in one direction.
SYSTEM BACKUP
If the sensors fail, normal differential action is still available to maintain steering and steering.
DEVELOPED FOR TREATMENT OF MATERIAL DENSITY DIVERSITY.
